About Olena

Olena is a Ukrainian refugee who fled Ukraine to come to Denmark in March 2022 with her two children. The first year was the toughest year of her life, however she was able to adapt, learn Danish, and find a job at a local sew shop in Nørrebro, Copenhagen.

Her passion for designing and producing bags stems all the way back to when she was 12 years old, when she discovered that she really loved to sew and create different types of closures. Since then, she has never stopped challenging her creativity.

With over 44 years of experience, Olena's designs are a testament to a lifetime of creativity and prevailing despite the circumstances. Right now, Olena lives in Østerbro and creates and designs different bags when she is not working. She does it 100% sustainably from old unused clothes that people were going to throw out, creating her masterpieces.
